Crochet Snowflake Pattern
I confess, I have no idea where I found this pattern. I had written it on an index card...
...and put it aside. This is my favorite snowflake pattern.
Make it as an ornament, attach it to a gift, embellish a stocking. You get the idea.
Worsted weight yarn
G or H hook
Chain 4. Slip stitch to form ring.
Row 1 - Ch 3. Dc in ring. Chain 3. *2dc, ch3* repeat until you have 6 sets of 2dc and ch3. Join with slip stitch to top of beg ch3.
Row 2 - Slip stitch across top of 2 dc in rnd 2. Slip stitch into ch3 space. Chain 3, 3 dc in same chain 3 space, ch 1. * 4dc in next ch 3space, ch 1* Repeat around. Slip stitch into top of beg ch3.
Row 3 - Slip stitch across the top of the 4dc in round 3. Slip stitch into ch1 space *ch5, slip stitch into same ch 1 space, ch 5, slip stitch into ch1 space, ch7, slip stitch into ch1 sp, ch 5, slip stitch into ch1 space, ch 5, slip stitch into same ch1 space, slip stitch across the top of the next 4dc* Repeat ** around. Join with slip stitch to final ch 1 space. Fasten off.
You may think this gets a little bulky and cumbersome when you do the ch5, ch5, ch7, ch5, ch5 all slip stitched into the ch1 space. Keep going. When done this looks very cute!
